Mutual Aid
in the
Fox Valley
While our main focus and purpose is to host local rallies that are pro-democracy, we have grown and expanded to be able to host events which help our community.
Not only do we host community focused events, but we also lift up local non profits and other grassroots groups and organizations.
What is Mutual Aid?
Mutual aid is a form of collective action that seeks to meet peopleās immediate needs, build solidarity and facilitate community-based problem solving.

Food and Donation Drives for our community in Oshkosh and the Fox Valley
We work with the Winnebago Democratic Office to collect food for those in need. See the 1st of each month to see what food item is currently being collected.
Fall 2025, we hosted a supply drive for Oshkosh Area Humane Society and had a pet parade!
Through generous donations from a member, we have hosted completely FREE tie dye events for anyone!

Drop off donations during Peaceful Patriotsā events or by appointment.
We have hosted three public/community read alouds: Animal Farm, 1984 (a valiant 11 hour attempt!), and On Tyranny. More to come!
Oshkosh Vagabond Network is a grassroots group who helps those who are in need of hygeine supplies and basic needs. See the list for suggested donations.
Themed rallies, events, and gatherings with a cause
We have hosted and co-hosted a handful of drum circles since our humble beginnings. We co-hosted a school supply event in the Fall 2025 āDrumming Up School Supplies!ā
We decorated Christmas cookies to spread some tasty holiday cheer to the Menasha Hope Fridge!
With our friends in Green Bay/Appleton, we flip flop hosting in Oshkosh and those two cities every month to host a BATTLE JACKET MAKING WORKSHOP!
Shoutout to our pals at the Oshkosh Tool Library for hosting some of our events in the past! (Middle picture)
I joined forces of good at the Menasha Hope Fridge and MCI to help the first month after the tornado. I did supply runs and food drop offs on my trike where it was difficult for cars to get to or between tents for supply swaps. I delivered lots of apples! I am working more behind the scenes now, but sometimes stop by when I am in the area to help clean up and organize the fridge.
Who doesnāt like ice creamā¦while screaming?! Free ice cream socials with all the toppings you could desire.
What do YOU scream for?
We support public services, like USPS, across the country and our local unions. Here we are supporting our local Oshkosh USPS union chapter.

Community Reachout and Tabling
Sometimes communities needs to come together to mourn. We hosted a candlelight vigil for RenƩe Good.
We also helped coordinate and co-organize for the 25th Anniversary Rememberance Event of 9/11 in Oshkosh.
We had the honor and joy to table at the World Peace Festival in 2025 (left) and 2026 (right)! It was a great day of connecting with attendees and other organizations and groups who also stand for PEACE!
We tabled at Oshkosh Pride for the first time in June 2026! Fun music, energetic attendees, and a wonderful array of vendors from all over the Valley.
Personal Volunteer Involvement and Endeavors
I am an active volunteer at the Oshkosh Community Fridge - a cook and stop by when Iām out and about to tidy it up. I make potato soup and sometimes other food for those who are food insecure. If you would like to sponsor food supplies to make soup OR if you have containers for me to use (butter, sour cream, etc.), please contact me via email at peacefulpatriotosh@gmail.com.
