Fox River Valley Chapter Visibility Brigade Event

The next scheduled protest—and eleventh overall—by the Fox River Valley (FRV) chapter of the Visibility Brigade (https://www.visibilitybrigade.com) will take place on the Town of Vinland’s County GG bridge on Friday, Oct. 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Past protests have represented a great opportunity to connect with like-minded folks.

According to https://www.accuweather.com/, Friday’s weather in the Town of Vinland is expected to have times of clouds and sun with temperatures ranging from 56 to 69 degrees. A future e-mail will be disseminated if there is a need for any last-minute adjustments to the schedule (e.g., forecasted precipitation).

The Town of Vinland’s County GG bridge—not to be confused with the Town of Neenah’s County G bridge—spans Interstate 41 and is located between Exit 124 (State 76 / Jackson Street) and Exit 129 (Bell Street / Breezewood Lane). Exit 124 is the preferred exit when reaching the County GG bridge as it is not directly accessible to or from I-41. After exiting I-41, head north on State 76, turn right on Green Valley Road in front of the Kwik Trip, and another right on County GG towards the bridge. (An attached image with its four blue-colored arrows provides a visual representation of these directions.)

The nearest parking area to the County GG bridge is located on the east side of I-41 off Old Dixie Road, to the south of County GG. (An attached image with its blue-colored arrow depicts this location.)

The goal of the national Visibility Brigade is “to remind folks of the crisis we face, to suggest simple actions to take and to support pro-democratic state and national candidates. Our actions also comfort heartbroken citizens and let them know that they are not alone.” This is accomplished by “providing physical messaging in the real world to connect with and activate voters to demonstrate that resistance is possible.”
